Mark your calendar now for November 1-2, 2019. You will want to be a part of an exciting conference bringing healing, faith, and comfort to the hurting people of faith in Southern California. It is for pastors, counselors, faith leaders, school administrators, teachers, and other mental health providers.

The course meets the qualifications for 7 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Covenant Behavioral Health is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for Faith & Mental. Covenant Behavioral Health maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content.

With PREPARE/ENRICH, you don’t just receive a packet of materials to figure out on your own.  You’ll get thorough training on the program, providing you with the skills you need to use the PREPARE/ENRICH materials most effectively.

 

You’ll learn how to:

  • Administer the online assessment
  • Interpret couples’ reports
  • Provide useful feedback to couples
  • Guide couples’ exercises
  • Teach relationship skills
  • Work more effectively with couples

 

Course meets the qualifications for 6.5 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Anger Management Specialist Training 

May 15-16, 2020 ~ 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM 

 

Many counselors, social and mental health workers, law enforcement,
probation officers, educators, chaplains, leaders, pastors, and health
professionals are electing to become certified to train clients, groups and
students in anger management skills.  Those completing this course may offer
anger management classes, groups, assessments, and treatment - awarding
certificates to individuals required to complete anger management programs.

 

You'll learn how to:

  • Build their emotional awareness skills
  • Prevent impulsive reactions by understanding how anger manifests
  • Calming techniques
  • Restructure anger-inflaming thoughts and beliefs
  • Manage stress and emotional tension
  • Communicate with others in a way that improves situations (Fighting Fair)
  • Appropriately release anger energy so it doesn't build up within the body

 

The course meets the qualifications for 14 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Covenant Behavioral Health is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for Anger Management.
